YOU'RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN, and we want YOU to join the fun!

Whether you're a seasoned performer or new to the spotlight, we welcome anyone 16 and older with a love for storytelling, music, and the magic of live theatre. This is your chance to step into the world of the Peanuts gang, showcase your talents, and be part of a production full of laughter, charm, and childhood nostalgia.

Audition Details
 

Lead Roles: If you would like to be considered for a lead role, please read the information below:

• Date: July 19th, 2025

• Time: 15/20-minute time slots between 9 am-5 pm

• Location: Leona Havens Auditorium, Darlington High School

  • Prepare 35 bars of the provided audition song; sheet music can be found here: Happiness​

  • A cold reading of a monologue from the show​

YOU’RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN CHARACTERS

 

Charlie Brown: The central character of the musical, Charlie Brown, is a lovable underdog. Despite being seen as a loser by his peers, he's mostly optimistic and determined. He's kind, gentle, and has a big heart.

• Vocal Range: Tenor (Bb2-F4)
   

Sally Brown: Charlie Brown's younger sister. Sweet but sassy, dramatic, and unpredictable. Often delivers comedic monologues. She has a crush on Linus.

• Vocal Range: Soprano (Bb3-A5)
   

Snoopy: Charlie Brown's imaginative and lively pet beagle. Snoopy has a wild imagination, loves to daydream, and lives in his own fantasy world. Despite his quirks, he's loyal to Charlie Brown. This role can be played by either a male or a female.

• Vocal Range: Tenor or Alto (C3-A4)
   

Lucy Van Pelt: A bossy, crabby girl who sometimes bullies others, often in a misguided attempt to help. Despite her tough exterior, she has moments of compassion, vulnerability, and insight. Not so secretly pines for Schroeder.

• Vocal Range: Alto, Belter (G3-F5)
   

Linus Van Pelt: Lucy’s younger brother. Philosophical and wise beyond his years, yet still clings to his security blanket.

• Vocal Range: Baritone (Bb2-E4)
   

Schroeder: A piano-playing prodigy who's obsessed with Beethoven. He's the object of Lucy’s affection, although he's too focused on his music to care much. No piano skills are necessary to play this role.

• Vocal Range: Tenor (Bb2-Ab4)
