Whether you're a seasoned performer or stepping into the spotlight for the first time, we welcome anyone with a passion for storytelling, music, and live theatre. Step into the delightfully weird world of The Addams Family, where unforgettable characters, hilarious comedy, and heartfelt moments come together to celebrate what makes every family wonderfully unique. Dust off your black attire and join us for a production that's sure to be altogether ooky!

Audition Details
 

Lead Roles: If you would like to be considered for a lead role, please read the information below:

• Date: July 26, 2026

• Time: 15-minute time slots between 10:00 am and 3:00 pm

• Location: Leona Havens Auditorium, Darlington High School

• What to Expect:

  • Vocal Audition

    • Please prepare approximately 32–60 bars (about 1 minute) of a musical theatre song that showcases your vocal ability and personality. Accompaniment will be provided; please bring sheet music.

  • Monologue

    • Please be prepared to read a 30–60 second monologue from the show to demonstrate character, emotion, and storytelling.

THE ADDAMS FAMILY​ CHARACTERS

 

Gomez Addams (M): The passionate patriarch of the Addams family. Charismatic, romantic, and fiercely devoted to Morticia. Gomez struggles to keep a family secret while trying to preserve peace in the household.

• Vocal Range: Tenor/Baritone
   

Morticia Addams (F): Elegant, mysterious, and dry-witted. Morticia is the calm center of the Addams family, balancing sophistication with a wicked sense of humor.

• Vocal Range: Alto/Mezzo-Soprano
   

Wednesday Addams (F): No longer the emotionless little girl everyone remembers, Wednesday has fallen in love with a "normal" boy and hopes to bring the two families together—without everything falling apart.

• Vocal Range: Mezzo-Soprano
   

Pugsley Addams (M/F): Wednesday's mischievous younger brother who would do almost anything to keep his sister from changing. This role could also be played by a girl.

• Vocal Range: Tenor
   

Uncle Fester (M): The lovable, eccentric narrator of the show. Optimistic, quirky, and endlessly entertaining, Fester has a unique outlook on love and family.

• Vocal Range: Tenor/Baritone

Grandma Addams (F): Wild, unpredictable, and full of bizarre remedies and unsolicited advice. She's everyone's favorite delightfully odd grandmother.

• Vocal Range: Character Voice/Soprano
   

Mal Beineke (M): A conservative, practical businessman and Lucas's father. He's uncomfortable with anything outside the ordinary.

• Vocal Range: Baritone
   

Alice Beineke (F): Lucas's cheerful, tightly wound mother who struggles to hide her true feelings—until she suddenly can't.

• Vocal Range: Soprano

Lucas Beineke (M): Wednesday's sweet, earnest boyfriend. He genuinely loves her and hopes their families can come together.

• Vocal Range: Tenor/Baritone

Ensemble Roles aka The Ancestors: The spirited ghosts of the Addams family lineage. These lively ensemble members sing, dance, and help tell the story while representing centuries of wonderfully weird Addams history.
